The Center for Discovery, Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in transforming the lives of individuals, couples, and families in Glendale, California, who are facing emotional and psychological challenges. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing face-to-face and virtual therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families dealing with mental health issues, relational conflicts, and life transitions.
  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand each client's unique circumstances and challenges, leading to the creation of personalized treatment plans.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to client needs.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in mental status in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and peer therapists to enhance the quality of care through case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds. You will support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Understanding and respecting cultural diversity will be crucial in delivering effective therapeutic care that resonates with each client.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of California.
  • Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and their applications in family and marriage counseling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport quickly with clients from all walks of life.
  • A problem-solving mindset coupled with a self-motivated, team-oriented approach.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of relevant experience, candidates with additional experience in related fields or specialized training in trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or child and adolescent therapy will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
