What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Facilities (Facilities Director / Account Manager), you will serve as the primary operational executive overseeing physical plant operations and overall facility functionality across a 250,000-300,000 sq. ft., across a multi-building commercial property.
  • Team & Operations Leadership: Direct a 6-person team (Maintenance Technicians, Landscaping Foreman, and grounds staff), establishing high operational standards for daily physical plant operations and preventive maintenance.
  • Property & Infrastructure Management: Serve as the chief Director of Facilities, maintaining mechanical systems, structural infrastructure, HVAC/MEP performance, and overall facility safety.
  • Project & Capital Oversight: Direct site upgrades and physical facility remodels; select, negotiate, and manage external sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Budgeting & Client Partnership: Function as the primary Account Manager and operational partner to the client CFO, controlling site budgets, managing physical plant expenses, and driving long-term strategic facility planning.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain operational readiness and serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours emergency escalations.

What You Bring To The Team / Qualifications
  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in physical plant management, multi-building property facility operations, or complex account management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of senior operational experience.
  • Required Industry Certifications: Active certifications in MEP (Mechanical, Eletrical, Plumbing, or HVAC) and/or industry specific certifications from IFMA, APPA, or BOMA (FMP, CFM, SMA, CEFP).
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiation, capital project management, and fiscal/budgetary management.
  • Outstanding communication skills with experience serving as a key operational contact for executive leadership (CFOs, site leaders).
