Job description

Theย Bill of Materials & Master Dataย roleย is responsible forย auditing,ย validating, andย managing theย Product BoM and Master Data for assigned Products through the stages of the Product Development Cycle.ย ย The BoM and Master Data Analyst works closely with Responsible Engineers, Change Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to properly specify the Engineering BoM and Manufacturing BoM data for the Product.ย This activity is crucial to the process of obtaining andย maintainingย FAA Certification to produce, supply, andย operateย aircraft.ย 

The Productย BoM and Master Dataย Analystย worksย cross-functionally withย Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Service andย Certificationย product data ownersย to ensure the completion and validity of the relevantย BoM and Master Data datasets for conformity and certification of the product.ย 

ย 
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Manageย definition andย evolution ofย productย engineeringย (eBoM), manufacturing (mBoM),ย service (sBoM), andย various derivative datasets.ย ย 
  • Drive Master Dataย and Part Attribute completionย in accordance withย Product Development Program stage and requirements for relevant Program activities.ย 
  • Reviewย and approval of changesย toย theย productย bill of materials and related datasetsย via theย Beta Change Management processes.ย 
  • Review and validation ofย CADย Product Structureย and Drawingsย vs. Bill of Materials to ensure correct alignment between the datasets for consumption by downstream stakeholders.ย 
  • Audit and verify as-built and as-operated product records versus the released productย eBomย andย mBoMย definitions to support BoM Reconciliation for Conformity and Certification.ย 
  • Will author andย maintainย procedures related to BOM management, BOM release, Baselineย Management,ย andย reconciliation ofย eBoMย to as-built configuration.ย 
  • Will develop training and provideย detailed instructions toย assistย others withย Bill of Material and Master Data management.ย 

Minimum Qualifications:ย 

  • Deep knowledge ofย industrial Bill of Materials and Master Data best practices in a Product Development environment.ย 
  • Experience withย Production Lifecycle and Enterprise Resource Planning software (3DExperience, Teamcenter, Plex, SAP)ย 
  • 5+ years of experience inaerospaceor other regulated design and manufacturing industry.ย 
  • BS in a relevant engineering or quality discipline or equivalent education and experience.ย 
  • Proficient with 3D CAD Software (Catia preferred)for review and audit of product datasets.ย 
  • Strong skills in MS Excel for analyzing and comparing product structures.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.ย 
  • High energy, self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.ย 

Above and Beyond Qualifications:ย 

  • Familiarity with 3D digital thread and/or model-based definition (MBD) environments.ย 
  • Strong analytical, problemย solving,ย and decision-making abilities.ย 
  • Ability to think on your feet, suggest solutions, adjustย priorities,ย and move forward.ย 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:ย 

  • Aerospace production environment with most work being done in an office environment.ย 
  • Significant onsite work at Beta Technologies locations in Burlington, VT.ย
