The IT Director will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence across BETA's information technology operations as we scale our enterprise. This role is responsible for IT policies and procedures, managing the IT budget, overseeing software contract management, and leading our Infrastructure and Help Desk teams. You'll drive productivity improvements and ensure technology capabilities align with our rapid growth trajectory, creating efficient systems that enable our teams to focus on revolutionizing electric aviation.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Manage comprehensive IT policies and procedures that support BETA's innovative and agile technology environments
  • Manage and optimize the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments
  • Lead software contract management, negotiating and overseeing vendor agreements to maximize value and alignment with business objectives
  • Provide strategic leadership for IT focused teams, ensuring robust support and continuous improvement of IT services
  • Manage escalations and prioritization to ensure IT services in support of key company goals.
  • Develop and execute IT strategies that enhance organizational productivity and align with our Digital Platform principles of collaborative enablement and self-serve capabilities
  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks that support secure, compliant and scalable technology solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align IT capabilities with overall business goals
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8-10 years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale IT operations and infrastructure
  • Strong budget management and strategic planning skills
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits and maintaining compliance with IT General Controls
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Above and Beyond Qualifications:
  • Experience in technology-driven, rapidly scaling organizations
  • Background in manufacturing or aerospace technology environments
  • Experience managing IT services for CMMC controlled environments

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Compensation
$120,000-$160,000 USD
