About the Role- Oversee daily operations of waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services.
- Manage and schedule staff, including drivers, equipment operators, and facility personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain and optimize fleet and equipment operations, including preventive maintenance.
- Respond to client inquiries, complaints, and service escalations.
- Prepare operational reports, monitor KPIs, and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with developing and managing budgets, control costs, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct incident investigations as needed.
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to plan strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
What you Bring- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in waste management, recycling, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operational management software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must have availability for early morning start times and be able to work evenings, including shifts up to 7:00pm.
