Extraordinary teams building inspiring projects: 

Bechtel Construction Company (BCC) delivers projects across North America in partnership with the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). BCC Craft Professionals are affiliated with the Building Trades Union corresponding to their skilled trade and perform work across a range of construction and industrial projects.  

BCC is currently sourcing potential candidates for the Natrium Project in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Project will consist of a 345MWe nuclear power plant based on Natrium technology. Submitted information will be shared with the appropriate Building Trades Union Hall, which will contact qualified craft professionals based on project needs.   

Job Summary  

Project Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming  

Base Wage: $28.25 / Hour  

PLUS PENSION, HEALTH AND WELFARE 

*Wages are determined through collective bargaining agreements.   

Per Diem: $ (pending) / per (pending) 

*Individuals can discuss additional benefits with the corresponding Union Hall.

 Responsibilities:  

  • Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties 
  • Perform a variety of functions, including: 
  • Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and tight lines. 
  • Bolt, nail, align, and block under forms. 
  • Signal construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications. 
  • Dig, spread, and level earth to fine-grade specifications using picks and shovels. 
  • Mix mortar and concrete using a portable mixer. 
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies. 
  • Position, join, wrap, align, and seal pipe sections made of concrete, terra cotta, or steel. 
  • Grind, sand, or polish surfaces (e.g., concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring) using abrasive tools or machines. 
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools or machines. 
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas. 
  • Operate gasoline- or air-powered tools to compact earthen fills and finished materials; cut or break up concrete or pavement; and drive posts. 
  • Physical requirements (typical examples): 
  • Comply with safety requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
  • Reach for and manipulate objects, hand and power tools, materials, and/or equipment. 
  • Lift and carry objects (e.g., building materials, tools, and/or rubbish) weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. 
  • Stand, walk, or sit for long periods. 
  • Stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and/or crawl frequently for extended periods. 
  • Climb and work on ladders, scaffolds, other facilities, and equipment; work at heights and in confined spaces. 
  • Recognize differences in the size, shape, and shading of lines, figures, objects, or drawings. 
  • Read and understand blueprints and/or schematic diagrams. 
  • Have normal (corrected) near visual acuity. 
  • Have at least moderate depth perception. 
  • Detect safety alarms through audio and visual means. 
  • Have at least minimal color discrimination. 
  • Pass a physical examination and respirator fit test; be able to wear a respirator. 
  • Work in hot or cold environments for extended periods. 
  • Pass a physical examination for asbestos abatement (when required). 
  • Work all scheduled hours.
