    Project Overview:

    Bechtel is supporting efforts to revitalize chipmaking in the U.S. by designing and building an advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in Ohio. Our team’s ability to design for rapid advances in technology and deploy best-in-class construction innovation will help transform Ohio into the “Silicon Heartland” by creating an entire supply chain to deliver the project, including engineers, construction leadership, and craft professionals.

    Project Cardinal is the new semiconductor manufacturing facilities, located in Ohio, will further revitalize chipmaking in the U.S. and help restore dependability and resilience to the global semiconductor supply chain. Bringing this capability to Ohio is a historic win for the region and for America.

    Bechtel will partner with the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and suppliers to create new construction jobs, and work with local education organizations to implement training programs.

    Project Cardinal Conditions:

    Start Time: 7:00 AM
    Working Mon-Fri - 10 Hours per day Mandatory
    This call pays $300 for working 45 hours Monday through Friday and additional $100 for 58 Hours.
    Starting ASAP Site-Specific Drug Screen and Background Check.
    Long Sleeves on site required.

    Responsibilities:  

    • Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter’s hand tools, in accordance with local building codes. 
    • Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required (e.g., lumber or fiberboard) and the dimensions of the structure or fixture to be fabricated. 
    • Selects the specified type of lumber and other materials. 
    • Prepares layouts using a rule, framing square, and calipers. 
    • Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials using a pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. 
    • Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and planes. 
    • Cuts and assembles materials, fastening them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. 
    • Verifies the trueness of structures using a plumb bob and carpenter’s level. 
    • Erects frameworks for structures and lays subflooring. 
    • Builds stairs and cabinets and lays out and installs partitions. 
    • Covers subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lays hardwood, parquet, and wood-strip-block floors by nailing to floors or subfloors, or by cementing them to a mastic or asphalt base. 
    • Installs shock-absorbing and sound-deadening materials; prefabricated window frames, doors, and door frames; weather stripping; interior and exterior trim; and finish hardware such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates. 
    • Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete. 
    • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. 
    • Welds metal parts to steel structural members. 
    • The following are typical examples of physical requirements for this construction classification: 
    • Complies with safety requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
    • Reaches for and manipulates objects, hand or power tools, materials, and/or equipment; lifts and carries objects such as scaffold components and lumber weighing up to 50 pounds; and stands, walks, or sits for long periods. 
    • Stoops, kneels, bends, crouches, and/or crawls frequently for extended periods. 
    • Climbs and works on ladders, scaffolds, and other facilities and equipment; works at heights and in confined spaces. 
    • Recognizes differences in size, shape, and shading in lines, figures, objects, or drawings. 
    • Reads and understands blueprints and/or schematic diagrams. 
    • Normal (corrected) near visual acuity 
    • Has at least moderate depth perception. 
    • Detects safety alarms through audio and visual means. 
    • At least minimal color discrimination 
    • Is capable of passing a physical examination and fit test for, and wearing, a respirator. 
    • Must be able to work in a hot or cold environment for extended periods 
    • Must be able to work all scheduled hours
