Job description

Arthrex Manufacturing, located in Ave Maria, FL. is actively seeking a Senior Production Coordinator to work on the Second Shift. The primary objective of the Senior Production Coordinator is to provide floor-level leadership and coordination of manufacturing activities by supporting personnel, coordinating resources, and monitoring execution to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role is responsible for coordinating resources, monitoring performance, reinforcing procedural compliance, and escalating issues as appropriate. The Senior Production Coordinator supports team development, drives accountability, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. Second Shift - M-Th, T-Fr, 4:00pm- 2:30am, on a Rotating Crew Schedule

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

 

1. Operational Leadership & Coordination

  • Provide daily leadership and direction to production teams to support operational priorities.
  • Coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment readiness to maintain production flow and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor line performance and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for production-related issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Support supervisors and leadership by reinforcing expectations related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the production environment

2. Quality System & Regulatory Compliance

  • Promote and ensure adherence to applicable quality system requirements, including Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), internal procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee accurate and timely completion of production documentation in accordance with documentation control requirements.
  • Support material traceability throughout manufacturing operations, including verification of material identification, usage, and reconciliation.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in the investigation and resolution of quality or compliance-related issues.
  • Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with established criteria and procedures.
  • Participating in and support internal or external audits as required.

3. Documentation, Systems & Data Oversight

  • Ensure proper execution, review, and reconciliation of production records, work orders, and system transactions.
  • Utilize manufacturing and enterprise systems (e.g., PHT, SAP, MDI, One Hub, AMOS tracking systems) to monitor production status, support reporting, and assist with issue resolution.
  • Review data related to production performance, deviations, or trends to support informed decision-making.

4. Training, Coaching & Team Development

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to production coordinators and team members.
  • Support onboarding and training activities to reinforce procedural adherence and operational consistency.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and opportunities to strengthen team capability and performance.
  • Model professional behavior and accountability aligned with organizational expectations.

5. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety, quality, and cost.
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other support groups to drive operational improvements.

6. Safety & Work Environment

  • Reinforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support maintenance of a safe, orderly, and compliant manufacturing or controlled environment.
  • Identify and escalate potential safety hazards or environmental concerns.
  • Support cleanliness and housekeeping activities, including scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning activities as applicable.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of manufacturing experience required
  • One (1) year of experience in a leadership role required
  • Experience supporting audits, documentation control, or quality systems is desirable
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, and schedule execution
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and influence teams in a production environment
  • Ability to monitor operational performance and reinforce adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards
  • Proficiency in coordinating resources, materials, equipment, and personnel to maintain production continuity
  • Knowledge of quality systems, documentation practices, and regulatory expectations in a controlled environment
  • Ability to analyze production data and communicate trends, risks, or issues effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to escalate appropriately
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

 

 Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
