Job description
The Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions' (CHS) Master of Science in Cytology Program seeks part-time Faculty Associates to teach courses or provide instructional related support for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters for online courses. Through coursework, our graduate degree program in cytology provides students with a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of cytology theory and practice. The program is currently seeking to fill Faculty Associate positions to teach and possibly design a cytology course as well as serve as instructional support for other cytology courses as needed.
These positions are part-time, non-benefits eligible, semester to semester contracts based on the dates of the sessions/courses assigned. Subsequent semester assignments may be offered at the discretion of the College and University based on teaching performance, student course evaluations, course availability and enrollment.
Responsibilities for the faculty associate positions include course instruction grading of assignments, exams, and projects, and holding regularly scheduled synchronous meetings. Course development may also be needed for certain courses however this is not a requirement.

Faculty Associate Qualifications
Essential Functions of the position:
- Course instruction
- General course delivery and assessment management
- Assisting the program director with necessary course updates
- Assisting students with the course outside of regular class time
- Course design and development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in cytology or a related field.
- ASCP certification in cytology
- Working knowledge of the clinical cytology laboratory environment.
- Experience teaching or related professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and staff in a multicultural environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching courses in cytology.
- Experience using online learning platforms for course instruction.
- Experience managing course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level, including development of course content, lectures, and assessments.
