Overview
Are you ready for what's next, now?
We're looking for a Tax Lead for our office in Alpharetta, GA. The position is fulltime. You'll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.
About the Role
The Tax Lead will assist with the Company's U.S. federal, state, and foreign consolidated worldwide tax provision; U.S. and Canadian tax compliance; and international tax planning activities such as transfer pricing, cash repatriation, and controversy functions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with external service providers on the preparation of:
    • Global tax provision inputs and supporting schedules
    • U.S. and Canadian federal/state income and franchise tax filings, including apportionment and estimated/extension payments
    • Transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reports
  • Ensure workpapers are complete and provide adequate support and audit trail.
  • Gather accounting and operational data from internal departments to support tax filings and provision calculations.
  • Assist in preparing reconciliations for tax-related accounts.
  • Maintain the tax calendar and help ensure timely filings and payments.
  • Support the collection and organization of intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Research technical U.S. federal/SALT tax issues and assist in drafting technical memos.
  • Assist with tax due diligence, legal entity rationalization, modeling, and planning associated with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Participate in tax-related projects such as audit responses, notices, information reporting (W-9s/W-8s), and process improvements.
About You
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 2-4 years of corporate tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. MS in Accounting/Taxation preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Experience with ASC 740 and Uncertain Tax Positions.
  • Exposure to international tax concepts and transfer pricing.
  • Strong Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Office and tax software (e.g., OneSource, Intacct) is preferred.
