Job description

Early Careers: Intern, Professional Services - 12 months - Part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer (May-August 2027)

Are you a student looking to gain valuable professional experience in a dynamic consulting environment? Our Professional Services Practice (PSP) team is looking for an intern to join the team in Montreal, QC!

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

Our Professional Services Practice in Montreal provides risk advisory and insurance broking services to some of Aon’s largest and most prestigious professional firm clients. We are seeking an enthusiastic and career-minded individual to join our client service team in Montreal, QC.

What the day will look like

  • Assist in providing insurance broking and related services including preparation of client submissions, premium calculations, invoicing, policy documentation and claims handling;
  • Maintain electronic files that clearly and accurately record the communications, activities and responsibilities of the team;
  • Work jointly on various recurring and ad-hoc tasks and projects with counterparts in Montreal, US, UK, Bermuda and other global Aon offices;
  • Attend team meetings and maintain team/personal outstanding lists;
  • Attend training sessions, presentations and meetings that will assist with present and anticipated future responsibilities;
  • Assist accounting department in data entry of journal entries in the general ledger for month end; preparation of annual budgets, account analysis and reconciliation, as well as other duties as required.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for students to learn, contribute, and gain real-world professional work experience in a collaborative environment. Interns will have the opportunity to work with senior leadership and diverse teams in the US, UK, Bermuda and other global Aon offices. Plus, the onboarding team at Aon will provide extra support through skill learning and networking sessions with other interns across the globe throughout the summer. Interns will have the chance to learn more about Aon’s culture, businesses and vast opportunities while developing practical skills necessary for future success and postgraduate opportunities.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and monitor workflow deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.

Education:

  • In progress of acquiring university degree in business, economics, finance or similar relevant field.
