Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Akamai engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for all technical aspects pertaining to Client's Akamai account, aside from most of the security related tasks (which includes WAF, Bot Manager, access requests and the like). Property Manager, Cloudlets, DNS, and Certificates are a few of the services in which you will engage daily.
Your expertise in
managing Akamai delivery configurations and using the Akamai console, as well as utilizing its associated components, features, and tools will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain a clean and consistent Akamai environment, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Akamai applicationsand solutions that align with business needs.
  • Deploy and manage Akamai delivery configurations, including creation, design, maintenance,and activation.
  • Respond to issues that may arise with the health, performance, and availability of Akamai applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to Akamai applications andcomponents, ensuring minimal impact on end users.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end users, assisting with Akamai-CDN related inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Akamai technologies, evaluating their potentialimpact and recommending improvements.
Specific responsibilities may include:
  • o Analysis of existing Edge Redirector cloudlet policies and Property Manager configurations that reference them to implement new redirect rules or make changes toexisting ones.
  • o Ability to debug a problem, find the root cause, and then implement a consistent and quality solution via Property Manager behaviors.
