Job description
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Nashville Metropolitan Area
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000/year
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support the day-to-day accounting functions of a growing organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and record journal entries, account reconciliations, and other routine accounting transactions.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare financial reports and support schedules for management review.
- Support compliance, audit, and reporting requirements by maintaining organized documentation.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
- Assist with various accounting projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred or in progress.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate, public accounting, or similar environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
