Job description
As valued members of the Hospice team, volunteers can make a difference. Volunteers can assist with patient visits in homes and facilities for socialization and companionship, administrative office tasks, and helping out with generalized volunteer events. Volunteers also provide a break for family caregivers offering assistance by running errands, shopping, meal preparation, or even offering help with light housekeeping. Some volunteers have specialized skills to offer during visits such as sharing music, art projects, vigil care, engaging in writing a life review journal, and Reiki which are wonderful ways to spend time with patients and families. Maybe you've had a personal experience with hospice and want to give back. Perhaps you're a student looking to complete service hours. No matter your reason for choosing to help Absolute Hospice, we're eager to find a volunteer opportunity that fits with your interests, availability, and talents.
