2020 Companies is hiring a full-time Intel Hybrid Field Sales Manager for our Retail Clients, DELL and Intel.

About the Job

Join our team as an Intel Hybrid Field Sales Manager and become a trusted advisor for retail partners and customers. This role, reporting to the Regional Manager, emphasizes building strong relationships within Best Buy and, potentially, with other retail locations across your assigned territory (Wednesday-Monday schedule). You will play a vital role in driving sales growth by training and motivating retail staff, engaging directly with customers to gather critical feedback, and collaborating with store management to implement effective sales and merchandising strategies. Success in this position depends on building rapport, providing expert product knowledge, and consistently achieving sales targets.

Day-in-the-Life as a Intel Hybrid Field Sales Manager

  • Plan and Prioritize: Begin the day by reviewing the schedule for store visits and prioritizing key accounts and activities based on sales goals and promotional priorities. This may involve route planning to optimize travel efficiency.
  • Execute In-Store Visits: Travel to assigned Best Buy (and potentially other retail) locations within the territory, engaging directly with customers on the sales floor, providing product recommendations, and utilizing the Best Buy POS system to facilitate sales.
  • Build Relationships & Train Staff: Connect with store management and sales associates to build rapport, provide product training on the latest Intel technologies, and address any questions or concerns. Drive engagement with the Intel Retail Edge program, encouraging associate registrations and training completions.
  • Merchandising & On-Site Assessment: Evaluate product displays, ensuring they are clean, functional, and adhere to brand standards. Assess on-site needs for marketing materials and promotional collateral and identify opportunities to improve product visibility and presentation.
  • Reporting & Communication: Accurately document store visit activities, sales data, customer feedback, and any relevant observations. Communicate key insights and recommendations to the Regional Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks & Planning: Dedicated time to administrative tasks such as scheduling future store visits, attending meetings/conference calls, responding to emails, and planning upcoming events or product launches.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for accurately executing sales, training, events, and additional projects as requested
  • Travel to assigned locations within your market, visiting all stores weekly or bi-weekly based on the frequency model
  • Attend meetings and conference calls as required, both in and out of the region, as needed
  • Drive brand market share through daily direct and indirect sales activities, engaging directly with customers and retail channel partners; utilize the Best Buy POS to transact sales
  • Collaborate with store management to foster sales and product training
  • Educate customers and make product recommendations
  • Introduce and register sales associates onto the Intel Retail Edge Program and drive training completions on the site
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry vertical affiliates (if applicable)
  • Assess and address on-site needs such as merchandising projects, marketing materials, and promotional collateral
  • Achieve monthly sales productivity goals and key metrics
  • Set and maintain brand merchandising in retail locations to ensure adherence to all brand standards
  • Assist in temporarily overseeing event coverage and contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities as needed

Performance Measurements:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Monitor achievement of weekly sales goals, ensuring consistent monthly performance
  • Sales Growth: Track and analyze sales growth over time to identify areas for improvement
  • Store Visit Frequency: Monitor the number and frequency of store visits to ensure adequate coverage and optimize travel coverage to achieve maximum in-store time
  • Store Visit Scheduling: Evaluate the effectiveness of store visit scheduling, ensuring visits are planned and optimized for efficiency
  • In-Store Activity: Track the completion of sales and training activities during store visits, such as product demonstrations, shelf checks, and customer interactions

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 6+ months of previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or other technical/wireless products preferred
  • 6+ months of successful training experience, preferably within direct marketing/retail environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment
  • Travel within 70 miles of the Ideal Market Zip Code with occasional travel to other markets
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage
