    Position: Designer and Sales consultant Stone & Cabinet

    We are seeking a Designer and Sales Consultant to support B2B trade customers, including builders, fabricators, contractors, remodelers, dealers, distributors, and other project-based accounts. This role focuses on customer design consultations, project design requests, inbound inquiries, online leads, quote follow-up, and customer conversion for our stone & cabinet product lines. The ideal candidate is skilled in 2020 Design, understands cabinetry layouts and kitchen & bath project requirements, and can convert design discussions with trade customers into qualified leads, quotes, estimates, and sales orders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Use 2020 Design to develop cabinet layouts, design concepts, project drawings, and related design support based on trade customer measurements, blueprints, floor plans, and project requirements.
    • Consult with builders, fabricators, contractors, remodelers, dealers, distributors, and other trade customers to understand project scope, layout needs, product selections, measurements, budgets, timelines, and design expectations.
    • Convert design consultations, project design requests, inbound inquiries, online leads, call-in requests, and trade customer visits into qualified leads, quotes, estimates, and sales orders.
    • Prioritize incoming design and quote requests and prepare accurate estimates and follow-ups in a timely manner, including a 24-hour quote turnaround when complete information is provided.
    • Recommend suitable cabinetry, countertop, stone, and related products based on trade customer project requirements, design specifications, and available inventory.
    • Follow up with trade customers on design revisions, product selections, quote changes, pending decisions, and project questions to move opportunities toward order confirmation.
    • Re-engage dormant trade accounts and conduct proactive follow-up with prospects to generate additional design and sales opportunities.
    • Coordinate with sales, operations, warehouse, and other internal teams to support smooth order processing, design clarification, delivery expectations, and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain organized records of designs, measurements, quotes, revisions, leads, follow-up activities, and sales pipeline progress.
    • Support trade showroom/product consultation coverage and related sales/design coordination as needed.

    Qualifications

    • 23 years of experience in cabinet design, kitchen & bath design, showroom sales, design sales, building-material sales, or other B2B customer-facing sales/design roles.
    • Hands-on experience with 2020 Design is required.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, measurements, and project layouts.
    • Strong understanding of cabinetry, cabinet layouts, kitchen/bath design principles, construction basics, and related product specifications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong follow-up, lead conversion, and customer closing skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple trade customer inquiries, design requests, quotes, revisions, and active opportunities at the same time.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with builders, fabricators, contractors, dealers, distributors, and other trade partners.
    • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in relevant math, measurement, and estimating skills.
    • Experience in stone, countertops, cabinets, kitchen & bath, building materials, construction supply, or related B2B industries is strongly preferred.
    • Ability to proactively acquire new B2B customers and re-engage dormant trade accounts is preferred.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
    • Ability to occasionally work weekends, if needed.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base salary of $45,000 plus uncapped commission. Typical first-year earnings are expected to reach $55,000$65,000+, with higher upside for self-generated business.
