Client Care Specialist and Driver

Full-Time | $20/hr | Company Vehicle Provided | Gentle Pet Crossing

Location: South Florida (Multiple Locations)

Schedule: 3 days/week (rotating shifts)

Gentle Pet Crossing is the first Pet Funeral Home in South Florida, offering afterlife care with compassion, dignity, and respect. We provide in-home and on-site euthanasia services, home pick-ups, and specialize in aquamation (water-based cremation). With three locations and all 5-star reviews, we are growing rapidly and seeking dedicated, compassionate professionals to join our mission of helping families through one of the hardest moments in life.

The Role

This is a unique and deeply meaningful position. You will be the first point of contact for grieving families, handling their pets with care and professionalism. You will also operate the aquamation system, assist with pet transfers, and ensure our facilities remain clean and welcoming.

This role combines compassionate customer service, hands-on care, and operational duties.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care

  • Greet and console grieving families with empathy and professionalism

  • Clearly explain the aquamation process and available services and memorabilia

  • Communicate with clients throughout the process, offering updates and reassurance

  • Deliver remains and urns to homes and veterinary clinics

⚙️ Aquamation Operator Duties

  • Operate and maintain the aquamation equipment

  • Prepare and package remains for return to families

  • Keep the processing area clean and fully stocked

  • Handle pets with dignity and respect throughout the process

  • Assist with plant care and general upkeep of our sanctuaries

Driver Responsibilities

  • Pick up deceased pets from homes and veterinary clinics

  • Ensure company vehicle is clean, stocked, and maintained

  • Represent Gentle Pet Crossing professionally in the community

Who You Are

  • A natural leader: Motivated, responsible, and supportive of your team

  • Experienced in customer service or office/admin roles

  • Emotionally mature and able to support grieving families

  • Comfortable working with deceased animals in a respectful and caring way

  • Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient

  • Available to respond to urgent client needs

  • Fluent in Spanish (a plus, not required)
