We are seeking a qualified Demolition Site Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project plans and specifications, along with relevant experience in site supervision within the asbestos and demolition industry. This role requires a proactive individual who is willing to travel as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Understand and navigate the needs of the Total Wrecking Management Team as well as specific Client needs, while simultaneously pushing the safety and quality of work forward to achieve project scheduling milestones.
  • Responsible for the overall safety of the demolition project that you will be supervising with support of our Corporate Health & Safety Director and on site safety coordinator.
  • Manage field crew from entry to senior levels, ranging from equipment operators, laborers, mechanics, welders, and subcontractors.
  • Forecast project schedule, material, labor and equipment demands.
  • Attend and participate in Client required project meetings and lead daily project safety meetings.
  • Prioritize demolition phases and tasks.
  • Problem solve if issues arise.
  • Implement work objectives within budget constraints.
  • Ensure that work product follows specified quality standards.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 - 5 years of work experience as a Demolition Supervisor.
  • Strong background in industrial and heavy commercial demolition with use of heavy equipment.
  • Proven successful project history displaying achievements of safety, schedule, cost management and quality.
  • Must have experience overseeing multiple crews and subcontractors at any given time.
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to coach and influence field personnel.
  • Must be able to speak effectively and elaborate upon project demands in front of large and small groups.
  • Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus as we utilize field based tablets for daily project logs.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel (home on most weekends).
