Corporate Business Attorney


Career Consulting Partners is working with a mid-sized corporate firm in the San Gabriel Valley. We are looking for a Corporate Business Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in business law as an attorney. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who thrives in general business law but is also eager to diversify their practice by representing Public Agency clients, including cities, counties, and water districts. You will work directly with Partners and Senior Attorneys on high-stakes matters while enjoying a clear path for professional development.

Duties:
  • Execute a wide range of general corporate and business law matters, including entity formation, contract negotiation, and transactional support.

  • Assist in advising public sector clients on governance, compliance, and regulatory issues specific to California municipalities and special districts.

  • Receive and execute complex assignments from Partners, ensuring high-quality work product and timely delivery.

  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing strategic legal counsel that aligns with their business or agency goals.

  • Consistently meet a billing target of 1,800+ hours per year while maintaining excellence in legal research and writing.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in general corporate or business law.

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

  • A genuine interest in (or experience with) Public Agency law is highly preferred.

  • Strong drafting skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A "team-first" attitude with the ability to take direction from senior leadership and run with complex projects.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation range: $140,000 - $180,000
