Job Description

CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP and AS9100 certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. CTL specializes in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures.

We are seeking talented professionals to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as a Manufacturing Engineer at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work in an empowered setting with a broad scope of authority within a dynamic team of Engineers.

Essential Job Functions

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will Improve and develop manufacturing processes and tooling design for composite parts fabrication. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to

  • Create written and illustrated manufacturing plans, bills of material and outside purchase specifications per engineering drawings/specifications.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes and tooling improvements for composite, compression molded and resin transfer molded parts.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve engineering issues related to manufacturing processes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assume Project Management responsibilities when directed.
  • Participate in MRB review of discrepant parts including Cause & Corrective Action.
  • Coordinate new and current business requirements with Production, Contracts, and Quality.
  • Support Production in delivery of products to customers on schedule.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Must have 5-10 years Engineering experience.
  • Process knowledge of hand lay-up and autoclave cure of Aerospace composite parts a plus.
  • Inspection and Manufacturing tooling design and calibration a plus
  • A desire & ability to be a hands-on Engineer in a small company environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse work groups such as shop floor personnel, Management, and customers.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Computer literacy a must including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • CAD skills such as Nx, Catia a pus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be “hands-on” and roll up sleeves to work in a manufacturing and office environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time if required.
