Job description

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking an Engineering Technician II who supports the Engineering Function on a variety of technical tasks in order to meet departmental objectives. Acts as professional lead for a variety of testing and troubleshooting tasks.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Performs a range of complex work toestablishand maintain information systems, databases, and interfaces to meet businessobjectivesand strategies
  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing of asometimes increasingcomplexity
  • Assistswith lab testing at customer's site
  • Participates in building prototypes per engineer’s specifications to ensure feasibility
  • Performs testing and qualifications in support of departmental objectives
  • Leads troubleshooting of electronics or electro-mechanical systems
  • Helpsaccomplishengineering business improvement objectives
  • Keeps current withstate-of-the-arttechnologies for electronics design and processes

Job Specifications:

Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.

Years’ Experience: 4 years of relevant experience required

Skills:

  • Proficient at extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, work ethics, and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of engineering processes
  • Ability to effectively manage time around multiple projects
  • Familiar with power conversion, analog, and digital circuits
