Job description

Job Title: Aerospace Assembly Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime/extended hours as needed)

Job Summary

Helpmates is hiring a detail-oriented Aerospace Assembly Technician to join a premier aerospace manufacturing team in Huntington Beach. In this role, you will perform final assembly operations on aircraft interior components and structures following precise engineering drawings. If you have hands-on experience using power tools, reading blueprints, and working with mechanical fasteners and adhesives, apply today!

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, revision updates, and installation procedures to ensure accurate product assembly.
  • Mechanical Assembly: Position, fit, and attach structural components using rivets, screws, inserts, blind nuts, blocks, angles, and fittings.
  • Fabrication Tasks: Precision drilling, countersinking, and riveting on metal and sheet metal parts according to strict specifications.
  • Adhesives & Sealants: Safely mix and apply industrial adhesives and silicone sealants per technical guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance & Traceability: Maintain complete work orders and traceability books throughout the manufacturing cycle; report any defects or deviations to Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Tool & Workstation Care: Safely operate hand and machine tools, maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, and requisition parts from the stockroom as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years of direct assembly, manufacturing, or structural fitting experience (aerospace or high-precision environment preferred).
  • Skills: Proficient in reading engineering drawings/blueprints and operating standard assembly hand/power tools (drills, rivet guns, countersinks).
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree is a plus.
  • Physical & Work Requirements: Ability to lift, position, and transport production units; flexible to work extended hours or overtime as production demands require; legally authorized to work in the United States.
