Senior Visual Designer
What you can expect
Senior Visual Designer with exceptional craft and a deep passion for visual excellence to join Zoom's Design System Team. Your primary responsibility is defining and elevating the visual language that powers the entire Zoom Workplace ecosystem bringing coherence, beauty, and precision to every surface. You'll own the aesthetic direction of our design system, ensuring every component, pattern, and interaction reflects the highest standards of visual quality.
About the Team
The Design Systems team at Zoom builds the foundation of our platform - a cohesive design language that powers the entire Workplace ecosystem. We partner with product teams, engineering, research, and accessibility to define standards and ship high-quality, scalable components that create consistent, intuitive experiences across Zoom.
Responsibilities
  • Owning the visual direction of Zoom's Design System - setting the standard for color, typography, iconography, spacing, motion, and component aesthetics across all platforms.
  • Crafting and maintaining a cohesive visual language that feels unified, polished, and distinctly Zoom across the entire product ecosystem.
  • Producing pixel-perfect assets, robust prototypes, and detailed design specifications that leave no room for interpretation and enable engineering to build exactly what's designed.
  • Defining and documenting visual style guidelines, design patterns, and usage principles that scale across teams and platforms.
  • Collaborating with designers, engineers, product managers, researchers, and accessibility partners -communicating visual decisions with clarity and conviction.
  • Mentoring designers on visual craft, helping the broader team develop a sharper aesthetic sensibility. Applying a meticulous eye to layout, spacing, structure, motion, and micro-interactions, raising the quality bar across every touchpoint.

What we're looking for
  • Hold BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in product design with a focus on visual design. Experience in brand or graphic design is a bonus.
  • Have a portfolio that leads with visual design excellence, showcasing mastery of typography, color, composition, motion, and UI craft across complex product surfaces. This is the first thing we'll look at.
  • Have An obsessive eye for detail, spacing, alignment, visual rhythm, and polish are things you notice and care deeply about. Proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto layout, and prototyping; motion design experience is a valuable bonus.
  • Have familiarity with design systems thinking, you understand how visual decisions scale and can apply craft within a systematic framework. Systems experience is valued, but visual design excellence is the foundation we're hiring for.
  • Have experience working cross-functionally across teams and time zones on complex, high-visibility projects.
  • Have familiarity with AI-assisted design and vibe coding tools (such as Claude Design, Codex, or similar)) to rapidly explore and prototype ideas. We're excited about designers who are experimenting with these workflows to accelerate creative exploration and bring concepts to life faster.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$124,000.00
Maximum:
$271,200.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
