At The Walt Disney Company, we believe in the power of storytelling to inform, connect, and inspire. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager II to shape the future of new video experiences for ABC News and bring trusted journalism to life with on-demand formats.

In this role, you'll lead the vision and execution for high-impact video products spanning VOD emerging formats across mobile, web, and connected TV. You'll translate complex opportunities into clear strategies, grounded in audience needs and powered by data and technology.

This role is ideal for a product leader who is deeply fluent in video and passionate about crafting experiences that feel seamless, engaging, and meaningful. You'll partner across editorial, engineering, design, and business teams to deliver products that elevate how millions of people experience news on demand.

ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Vision
  • Define and drive a clear, user-first product strategy for news video on-demand experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate across formats - short form video, vertical video and emerging storytelling experiences.
  • Establish success metrics that reflect both audience value (engagement, retention, watch time) and business impact.
Video Product Leadership
  • Partner with the Media Product team and engineering to deliver high-quality streaming experiences, with a focus on performance, reliability and scalability.
  • Help shape how news is experienced through video - balancing editorial integrity with engaging, modern product experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, design and editorial teams to bring products to life with clarity and craft.
  • Partner with research and data teams to understand audience behavior and continuously refine the experience.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of goals, priorities and outcomes.
Execution & Delivery
  • Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and deliver in iterative, measurable phases.
  • Lead product launches with strong coordination, clear communication and a focus on impact.
  • Champion experimentation and continuous improvement through data, testing and audience feedback.
Audience-Centered Product Development
  • Advocate for intuitive, high-quality video experiences that meet audiences' expectations for speed, relevance and ease.
  • Collaborate with design to create user journeys and experiences that reflect how people consume news today.
  • Balance audience needs with technical feasibility and long-term scalability.
Stakeholder Leadership
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across product, engineering, editorial and business teams.
  • Clearly communicate product strategy, progress and tradeoffs to senior leadership.
  • Drive alignment while staying grounded in a long-term vision for audience value and storytelling excellence.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer technology or media.
  • Experience building and scaling video products, including live streaming and VOD experiences.
  • Proven ability to define product vision and align cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and editorial stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering complex products with measurable impact on audience engagement and growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using both qualitative insights and quantitative data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Technical fluency and experience working closely with engineering teams in agile environments.
  • A deeply audience-focused mindset and a commitment to quality, storytelling, and impact.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $163,100 to $218,700 per year and in Glendale, CA is $155,700 to $208,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
