How does a Zillow Agent typically collaborate with clients and other real estate professionals to facilitate home buying or selling?

As a Zillow Agent, collaboration is key to delivering a seamless client experience. You’ll regularly communicate with buyers and sellers to understand their needs, schedule showings, and guide them through the transaction process. Additionally, you’ll work closely with lenders, inspectors, and other agents to coordinate offers, negotiate terms, and ensure all documentation is accurate and timely. Effective teamwork and strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll often juggle multiple transactions and stakeholders simultaneously.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Zillow Agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Zillow Agent, you need a solid background in real estate sales, local market knowledge, and appropriate state licensure. Familiarity with Zillow Premier Agent tools, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms is typically required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills help agents build trust and close deals effectively. These competencies are crucial for attracting clients, managing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a strong reputation in a competitive real estate environment.

What is a Zillow Agent?

A Zillow Agent is a licensed real estate professional who partners with Zillow, a popular online real estate marketplace, to connect with potential home buyers and sellers. Zillow Agents typically pay for leads or advertising placement on the platform, allowing them to appear prominently when users search for homes or seek an agent. These agents help clients buy, sell, or rent properties, leveraging Zillow’s extensive online tools and resources. While Zillow connects buyers and sellers with agents, it does not employ agents directly; instead, it serves as a platform for real estate professionals to expand their reach.

Job description

Summary
Keep your brand. Keep your business. Add a powerful lead source on top of it. This is not a team position - it's an opportunity for established Gloucester County agents to receive Zillow Preferred (Flex) leads and convert them independently, while continuing to grow their own business exactly as they always have. We provide the leads, the Follow Up Boss platform to manage them, and focused coaching and accountability around Zillow conversion only. Your personal sales, your database, your brand - all yours. Think of this as a supplemental revenue stream that also helps you build your database and create clients for life, with zero interference in how you run the rest of your business.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to Zillow Preferred (Flex) leads immediately - speed to lead is the single biggest factor in conversion and directly affects your results
  • Manage all Zillow leads inside Follow Up Boss, keeping contacts updated with accurate notes, statuses, and next steps - Zillow monitors activity and timely updates are non-negotiable
  • Convert Zillow leads to appointments and signed buyer agreements through consistent follow-up and strong communication
  • Consult with buyers, understand their needs, and identify homes that match - your expertise is what turns a referral into a lifelong client and a database addition
  • Negotiate offers on behalf of your buyers and guide them through closing with the professionalism your own brand demands
  • Participate in Zillow Flex-specific coaching and accountability check-ins to stay sharp on conversion and meet performance benchmarks
  • Meet Zillow's performance and satisfaction standards including response times and client experience expectations
Qualifications
  • Licensed and actively producing real estate professional in New Jersey
  • Strong buyer consultation and conversion skills
  • Highly responsive - comfortable with fast follow-up expectations
  • Organized and consistent with CRM use (Follow Up Boss experience a plus)
  • Coachable and committed to Zillow performance standards
  • Self-directed and motivated by results
About-our-team
This is not a team join - it's a strategic alignment. By partnering with The Murphy Group's Zillow Preferred (Flex) division, you gain access to high-intent leads, a Follow Up Boss platform built for Flex, and accountability coaching focused exclusively on conversion - while keeping your brand, your brokerage, and your business completely intact. We bring the leads. You bring the expertise. Every client you close is yours, goes into your database, and builds your business. This is for agents who are already winning and want a powerful addition to what they're already doing.
