Job description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Yard Operator to support our customers, service, and sales personnel. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Ship, receive, and operate equipment in the yard
  • Promptly greet and assist customers in the yard
  • Ensure proper documentation of incoming/outgoing equipment
  • Maintain a clean and orderly yard
  • Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance
  • Maintain grounds including snow removal
  • Monitor and maintain fuel and fluid levels for shops and on branch machinery
  • Park equipment in designated areas, according to appearance and guidelines
  • Work collaboratively on a team
  • Provide assistance to other departments as requested
  • Complete responsibilities safely

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years experience required in shop or operating equipment or related duties
  • Personal Characteristics: attention to detail, dependable, self-starter, customer-focused, efficient, and team player
  • Ability to operate machinery and perform job duties safely
  • This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement

Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
  • Lift bulky objects
  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box.
  • Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
