Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will serve as a critical field operations leader, driving the successful execution of all lumberyard operations, inventory management, and fulfillment logistics. This role allows you to manage yard personnel and fleet assets while ensuring high-quality service for a company that values your individual leadership contribution. You will have the autonomy to streamline shipping networks and the support of an executive team that stands behind your career development.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Coordinate daily order pulling, delivery routing, and inventory receiving to maintain strict project timelines.
  • Supervise and train yard personnel in strict accordance with company procedures, quality guidelines, and core values.
  • Enforce absolute compliance with company safety protocols, insurance mandates, and OSHA regulations across the site.
  • Monitor the safe operational usage of heavy machinery, including lifts, trucks, banding machines, and specialty saws.
  • Minimize structural inventory shrinkage through disciplined cycle counts and rigorous transaction documentation auditing.
  • Collaborate with outside sales and field operations regarding job site directions, logistics, and accurate material delivery statuses.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct leadership or supervisory experience specifically within lumberyard operations or building materials supply.
  • Proven ability to optimize regional delivery routes to maximize customer service while reducing operational mileage costs.
  • Strong mathematical, logical, and structural reasoning skills necessary for verifying building material loads.
  • Absolute willingness to work in a dynamic physical environment, including continuous movement and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable executing tasks year-round in both indoor and outdoor seasonal weather conditions.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience
