Job description

Job Summary


A fast-paced 3PL company is hiring an experienced Yard Goat Driver / Clamp Forklift & Shipping Associate.

Applicants must have previous experience operating a yard goat and clamp forklift, along with shipping experience. Candidates without all three qualifications will not be considered.


Responsibilities

  • Operate a yard goat safely to move and position trailers throughout the facility yard
  • Spot trailers at designated dock doors
  • Perform safety inspections before operating equipment
  • Operate a clamp forklift to load, unload, move, and stage products
  • Prepare and verify outgoing shipments
  • Load trailers accurately and safely
  • Review shipping documents, labels, quantities, and product information
  • Stage completed orders for pickup
  • Assist with inventory and shipment tracking
  • Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and transportation teams
  • Follow all company and warehouse safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and yard area


Requirements

  • Previous yard goat driving experience is required
  • Previous clamp forklift experience is required
  • Previous shipping experience is required
  • Experience working in a 3PL warehouse is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working both inside the warehouse and outdoors in the yard
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work overtime when needed
  • RF scanner and warehouse management system experience is preferred


You must have experience in all three areas—yard goat, clamp forklift, and shipping—to qualify for this position.
