Job Summary
College Medical Center Long Beach is searching for an Application Analyst that serves as a consultant for clinical and financial end-users requiring information technology solutions.
The Application Analyst plans, designs, develops and modifies clinical, financial and business applications, ensures the integrity and security of data, and provides technical support to clinicians and other healthcare personnel. The Application Analyst also trains, educates, and instructs clinical and financial users on features, operation, and usage of software systems. Other responsibilities include: monitoring system performance and reporting anomalies, errors, inaccuracies or inefficiencies and making recommendations as needed. This position will travel to other facilities to provide additional support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology or related field preferred
Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
Experience with healthcare information systems and their use in patient care required
Strong knowledge base in clinical practice in an acute care and/or behavioral health setting
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
At least 1 – 2 years of Cerner Millennium experience preferred
Willing to obtain the CAHIMS Certification
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/Glendora Hospital in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
