Specific Knowledge: Computer hardware, data storage Hardware. data storage hardware etc. data center power distribution and cooling systems. IT environmental monitoring systems

Assignment Description:

Assist the data center manager with the following:

•Provide facility oversight coverage (rounds and physical walk down) at the Data Center. Perform troubleshooting on data center facility infrastructure, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of those.

• Identifying and replacing broken HDD, RAM modules, PSUs replacement in compute nodes, secure erasure of the HDDs. Decommissioning and removal of legacy equipment. Disposal of packaging materials and metal scrap. Migration of lightweight IT equipment and IT room support equipment within the SDCC datacenter environment. Checking the accuracy of data center Property Tag and equipment location information.

• Work with other support organizations to create work orders and schedule work for various trades to support of the datacenter. Participate in work planning in control procedures, interfacing with vendors and scheduling of repairs.
