We are currently seeking a process-focused and methodical Portfolio Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of initiatives from initial concept through project completion, ensuring alignment with Windstar's organizational priorities and strategic goals. This role supports the full Commercial organization, including Marketing, Revenue Management, Contact Center Operations, Sales, and Global Commercial, by guiding new objectives through a structured intake and prioritization process.
The Portfolio Project Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams such as IT, Finance, Legal, and other corporate functions to ensure initiatives are executed in compliance with company policies, governance standards, and approval processes. This role provides visibility into all active, paused, or discontinued initiatives, facilitates cross-departmental collaboration, drives accountability through regular working sessions, and ensures consistent project practices, documentation, and value realization across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle and portfolio of projects across Windstar Cruises.
  • Provide oversight and facilitation of the project intake process, guiding initiatives from Idea to Execution.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly project team meetings, including agendas, follow-ups, action items, and documentation of key decisions.
  • Ensure approved projects have appropriate resources assigned and that project management methodologies and standards are consistently applied.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date portfolio of all active projects across the organization.
  • Facilitate the project prioritization process in partnership with key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure canceled, deferred, and on-hold projects are properly documented, tracked, and communicated.
  • Ensure projects follow defined close-out processes, including completion documentation and payback/benefits realization activities.
  • This role supports the full Commercial organization, including Marketing, Revenue Management, Contact Center Operations, Sales, and Global Commercial, by guiding new objectives through a structured intake and prioritization process.
  • Coordinate and manage communications across multiple departments regarding project disposition, including approvals, denials, status changes, and completions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience with a broad base of PM tools, methodologies and knowledge; confidence in assessing when to implement those resources
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with minimal structure; able to apply the right level of formality and governance as needed.
  • Strong judgment in selecting and applying appropriate project management techniques based on project complexity, risk, and organizational needs.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Prior consulting experience strongly preferred.
