$2000 Performance Bonus (before applicable taxes): Drivers in good standing with the company will receive $1,000 after 90 days of employment and another $1,000 after 180 days of employment. Safety, attendance, attitude, and consistent on-time arrivals to work each day are all calculated into the decision of being considered in good standing with the company.
Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL Class B to support our Leetsdale, PA facility and product delivery operations.
  • Role: CDL-B Driver
  • Truck Type: 29-Foot Curtain Side
  • Transmission: 10-Speed Manual (must be proficient to apply)
  • Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm ET Monday-Friday (may work until 2:30pm ET some days)
  • Pay: $25.00/HR for CDL-B license and $27.00/HR for CDL-A license
  • Hand Unloads: Must be comfortable assisting customers receiving their goods weighing up to 70lbs. This will include large sheets of plywood.

You will help load the company truck and transport Würth Baer Supply products to customers when needed. The cargo consists of cabinets, hardware, wood/laminate, and lacquer/finish. You will use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery. When needed, you will assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.).
An essential function of this role requires employees to lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 70 pounds. Attention to safety is vital, the use of proper lifting and lowering techniques should be used at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot). You may also need to become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties. As this position is customer-facing, an excellent customer focus attitude is critical for success.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class B
  • Must be proficient driving 10-speed manual transmissions
  • Must be certified to use AIR BRAKES
  • A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate
  • Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
  • Previous warehousing experience preferred - proficient using a pallet jack
  • Must be comfortable performing hand unloads, lifting 75lbs unassisted, and helping customers receive their goods as needed - materials such as drawer slides, hinges, paints, stains, adhesives, sandpaper, laminate sheet products, and hand/power tools
  • Good problem-solving skills
