Job Title: Application Engineer Location: Madison Heights, MI Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00/hr Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities are technical leading on developmental and commercialized products by optimization of material application processes, and direct interaction with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process related problems.
  • Leads customer visits, demonstrations, recommendations, trainings and problem solving for strategic initiatives, break-through technologies.
  • Completes laboratory and testing for internal and external customers. Responsible for the technical training of field sales, customers, and for TCS talent development.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science/Chemistry, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience with Automotive Quality systems and requirements. Experience with dispense equipment suppliers
  • 7+ years of experience working in a chemical/coatings material for Automotive electronic applications. (ex: sensors, connectors, printed circuit boards, modules, semiconductors).
  • Account management, analytical thinking lean/six sigma/scientific application methods/development technical writing/reporting business acumen
