Overview

The Client Service Representative I collaborates with physician offices, patients, and internal customers to ensure all client needs are met accurately and efficiently. This role involves providing education on laboratory specimen requirements and addressing a wide range of inquiries, all while delivering world-class patient experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about customer service and motivated to work within a patient-centric team in a healthcare environment. 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Act a liaison between Beebe Healthcare Laboratories, patients, physician offices, and internal customers. 
  • Resolve routine customer requests with questions or services via inbound, outbound calls, or the Internet. 
  • Speak with patients and internal customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using protocol procedures. 
  • Inquire, clarify, and confirm patient and internal customer requirements and understand the solution. 
  • Provide additional education and information as needed to patients, physician offices, and internal customers. 
  • Utilize the Epic EMR modules to document customer interactions and to research information required to answer questions from patients, physician offices, and internal customers. 
  • Notify clients of test results in a timely and accurate manner documenting notifications via Epic Beaker. Perform requisition entry functions for test requests received from external facilities. 
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance. 
  • Perform administrative support for entering or editing participating submitters, requisition follow-up tasks, courier dispatches, outreach supply orders, and laboratory charge review functions.
  •  Other clerical duties as needed. 

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 0800 - 1630 
  • 2nd Shift: 1000 - 1830 
Qualifications

Experience & Education Required:

  • 1+ year previous experience in a contact center/call center, medical coding, or laboratory is preferred along with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
