Job description

The Michael J. Carney division within Kubicki Draper has an opening for an attorney with at least two years of experience. The division defends personal injury lawsuits and requires hearing, deposition and trial attendance.


Role Description The Associate Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The individual in this role will manage a caseload involving civil personal injury defense matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and motions. The Associate Attorney will attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, and assist with trial preparation. Collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with clients, and adherence to ethical and professional standards are central to this position.


Qualifications

  • Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the state bar.
