Job description

Job Summary – Maintenance Manual Author
- Create and update various maintenance documents (e.g., maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, NDT manuals, tool & equipment manuals, component maintenance manuals) for aircraft.
- Utilize engineering databases, drawings, functional test data, and additional sources to develop detailed airworthiness instructions.
- Prepare work packages and coordinate creation of illustrations for technical publications.
- Perform self and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency of completed documents.
- Adhere to and help improve established documentation procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, core teams, and customer service to validate and verify maintenance procedures.
- Preferably possess a degree in aviation or equivalent technical authoring experience.
- A&P license or military aviation maintenance experience with Technical Orders is an advantage.
- Interpret and analyze engineering data, drawings, and technical documents effectively.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, operation, maintenance, and industry guidelines (GAMA/ATA).
- Proficient in SGML/XML, Arbortext, Adobe FrameMaker, or equivalent authoring tools.
- Exhibit professionalism with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A&P certification is preferred.
