Clementine Paper creates fresh, fun and fashionable eco-friendly notebooks, stationery, gift wrap, greeting cards, paper storage, and various other products for mass retailers such as Target and TJ Maxx. We have also expanded into Candles, Soap, and other personal care items, so we are looking to build our team! 

We are looking for a Lead Production Designer who is both creative and detail oriented and has a proven background in graphic design or surface design for Consumer Products. The production designer should have a passion for decorative artwork and trend-right product design. They will partner with our in-house design team to apply existing artwork to a variety of product formats and packaging types and develop final mechanical files for offset printing production.  This is the perfect position for someone who is both creative and technically oriented as they will be responsible for expanding and improving upon the artwork provided as well as specifying the details on products such as foils, glitters, bag handles, and various other embellishments.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design aesthetics, as well as a trend-right design sensibility. They should be highly organized, technically skilled, self-motivated, and have outstanding attention to detail. The Lead Production Designer will communicate with our factories to transfer art and convey pertinent information to ensure our products are produced accurately and on time.

In addition to interacting with the art team, the Production Designer will work alongside a product development manager who works on pricing and product specs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading people and projects.


Position Responsibilities:

·      Apply existing art to various product types

·      Prepare production-ready files using Illustrator and Photoshop on a Mac platform

·      Color matching and correction as needed

·      Creating pattern repeats

·      Proposals, photo retouching, or making product mockups as needed

·      Clear communication with factories to specify materials and other print details.

·      Adherence to production schedules 

·      Maintaining organization of design assets on the server

Minimum Qualifications:

·      5 years of print production experience

·      Modern aesthetic sensibility; design experience a must

·      Bachelor’s degree in design or related discipline

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

·      Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform
