When you join Design Group as an Electrical Engineer, EIT you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer, EIT who thrives not only in designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm for large, complex manufacturing facility buildings but also values strong mentorship and leadership.

You'll be joining a firm that meticulously evaluates each project before engagement, ensuring we have the right capacity, skillsets, and licenses. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experience in power distribution, load flow analysis, low voltage, (medium voltage a plus), and lighting design.

As a pivotal member of our team, you'll be instrumental in creating and implementing state-of-the-art electrical design solutions, elevating the standards of manufacturing plant efficiency and safety for our manufacturing clients in the food, beverage, and consumer packaged goods sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Design: Work on electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and integrating power, lighting, and fire alarm systems seamlessly.

  • NEC Knowledge: Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code to craft designs that meet the utmost safety and quality benchmarks.

  • Power Distribution: Design robust power distribution systems, skilled in both low and medium voltage applications, tailored to the specific needs of cutting-edge manufacturing plants.

  • Load Flow Analysis: Optimize power distribution through precise load flow analysis, enhancing energy efficiency.

  • Innovative Lighting Design: Craft lighting solutions that boost safety, productivity, and energy conservation.

  • Collaborative Facilities Design: Engage in multidisciplinary projects, offering your electrical engineering expertise to forge comprehensive solutions.

  • Software Proficiency: Utilize leading software like Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD for sophisticated modeling and simulation.

  • Client Interaction: Directly collaborate with clients to align our electrical solutions with their unique objectives.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ Years of Relevant Experience: Electrical engineering design experience, particularly in the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods sectors is ideal.

  • NEC Proficiency: A solid understanding of the NEC, ensuring compliance in all designs.

  • Power Distribution Expertise: Experience in low and medium voltage systems.

  • Load Flow Analysis Experience: Demonstrated ability in optimizing electrical systems.

  • Lighting Design Knowledge: Proficiency in industrial lighting solutions.

  • Multi-Discipline Design Exposure: Experience in integrated facilities design.

  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD.

  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

  • Willingness to Travel: For installations, meetings, training, and industry events.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

  • Licensure: Already passed Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) exam.

The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000-$120,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
