Job description

Job Title- Designer (Production Artist)
Location- May be 100% remote in the U.S


Join Our Creative Team as a Designer!

Do you have experience designing licensed products?! Do you get excited by the latest trends and immediately put them into art? If so, this role is for you! We are seeking a Designer that will have responsibility for hand-sketching front, back, and side views of new Horizon Group USA products as well as rendering mockups in Photoshop. Consider it a bonus if you have Packaging Design experience as well!


What You'll Do:

  • Design and create product for craft, fashion activity kits, and novelty products in vector format.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop to execute designs.
  • Participate in trend research and brainstorming for new product concepts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team and Design Team on all projects.
  • Illustrate icons, characters, design color schemes and patterns for products and packaging.
  • Create mockups for presentations.
  • Provide photography support for manuals and instruction sheets.
  • Execute detailed production mechanicals for product and packaging.


What You’ll Bring:

  • MUST have previous experience working on licensed brands/products.
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Suite required.
  • Ability to create and illustrate in vector format in a wide variety of styles, for various target audiences (including gender neutral, tween girls etc.; Seasonal and Everyday artwork), each with a distinct point of view.
  • Ability to hand-sketch front back and side views of the same object required.
  • Ability to take vector/ hand sketches and create 3D renderings using Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Digital Photography as support will be needed in photographing for manuals and instruction sheets.
  • Experience in Activity Kits/ Toy or Craft Industry preferred.
  • Product knowledge of activity kits / DIY activities for jewelry, Paint your own/ build your own accessories, HBA, & paper crafting fields ideal.
  • Page Layout/ instruction Layout skills a plus.
  • Fine Art skills such as painting is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • MUST submit a portfolio link to be considered.
