This role builds and executes an aggressive CTV revenue plan spanning direct-sold, programmatic, sponsorship, and packaged opportunities, and manages platform relationships such as Samsung TV Plus, NewsON, and Haystack. Working closely with Product, Technology, Content, and Ad Operations, this role ensures our streaming inventory is measurable, distributable, and monetization-ready. It is a commercial, revenue-accountable role at the center of WRAL Media’s streaming growth

  • Build and execute an aggressive CTV revenue plan across direct-sold, programmatic, sponsorship, and packaged opportunities.
  • Serve as WRAL Media’s internal subject matter expert on connected television, streaming distribution, programmatic buying, audience targeting, attribution, and measurement.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings alongside account executives and sales leaders to explain CTV strategies, identify opportunities, and help position WRAL Media’s streaming  capabilities.
  • Lead high-level CTV presentations for advertisers and agencies, translating complex technology and measurement concepts into clear business outcomes.
  • Support major pitches, requests for proposals, annual planning meetings, and new-business presentations involving streaming and connected television.
  • Create simple, actionable talking points that help the sales team confidently discuss CTV, streaming audiences, programmatic advertising, attribution, measurement, and competitive differentiation.
  • Stay current on emerging CTV platforms, technologies, measurement solutions, privacy changes, buyer behavior, and industry trends, and regularly share relevant insights with the sales organization.
  • Work with sales leadership to identify priority advertisers, categories, agencies, and prospects with the greatest potential for CTV revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Research and Sales Strategy to develop audience insights, market intelligence, performance reporting, and proof points that strengthen CTV proposals.
  • Work with Product, Technology, Content, Research, and Ad Operations on inventory, measurement, distribution, data integration, reporting, and monetization readiness.
  • Evaluate WRAL Media’s CTV inventory and distribution footprint to identify gaps, new partnership opportunities, and areas where additional scale or capabilities are needed.
  • Develop direct-sold and programmatic monetization strategies that maximize inventory value while maintaining a strong viewer and advertiser experience.
  • Identify and evaluate new CTV monetization opportunities, including sponsorships, branded content, audience extensions, data products, attribution solutions, and cross-platform packages.
  • Represent WRAL Media credibly with advertisers, agencies, technology providers, distribution platforms, and industry partners.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years in digital or media advertising sales, distribution partnerships, or streaming, with a preference for a connected-TV / OTT focus.
  • Direct experience with FAST platforms and distribution deals, including negotiating and managing contracts, and a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Working knowledge of ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel), programmatic concepts (SSP/DSP), CTV measurement, and CRM/pipeline tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills; able to represent WRAL Media credibly with external platform partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgment; able to prioritize partnerships and revenue opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with major CTV / FAST platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, NewsON, Haystack, Roku, or similar.
  • Experience in local broadcast or a multi-platform media environment.
  • Familiarity with contract and legal review processes for distribution agreements.
