Job description

The Launch Workplace Integration (WPI) Specialist position is responsible for the daily execution activities of the WPI process in the launch process. This includes overall launch Master Planning, KPI tracking, coordination of workshops, activities by loop, managing issues and escalation, and developing recovery plans. Ensuring SPW principles are utilized within the launch process.
Job Responsibilities but Not Limited to:
  • Track Launch KPI's and report out at the executive level.
  • Develop, update, and report out on Master Plan deliverables.
  • Coordinate and lead workshops to resolve major issues.
  • Lead issue resolution meetings with stakeholders and escalate priority concerns.
  • Ensure that SIS principles are adhered to during WPI process.
  • Identification of critical processes and developing solutions.
  • Administration of WPI/SIS Checklist to ensure launch readiness.
  • The ability to adapt within a manufacturing vehicle assembly plant and to interact with hourly and salary persons.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • WCM/SPW experience in WO/LO/QC/FI/AM/PM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong process and systems focus; Risk Management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities across a fast-paced program environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytics, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver clear, concise executive-level presentations, translating complex manufacturing and program data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and change agent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Launch experience associated with a new vehicle launch will be a significant benefit.
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or related systems is a plus.
