As an Enterprise Workload Automation Architect, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative ideas to fruition by shaping the architecture, strategy, and delivery of enterprise scheduling and orchestration services, including Autosys, CA7, Airflow, and related workload automation platforms. Your role will be central to ensuring the reliable and secure operation of business-critical batch, event-driven, and cloud-integrated workloads across the organization. As part of our team, you're made ready for a fulfilling career with exciting new challenges and opportunities to stretch yourself. You will be responsible for providing architectural mentorship and oversight at a Company Platform level, including its supporting Technical Platform, with deep expertise in workload automation technologies, enterprise scheduling patterns, and comparative industry trends. You will incorporate a strong consultant-oriented approach and work cross-functionally with both technical and nontechnical teams, including business development, product management, software engineering, cybersecurity and departmental executives to drive tangible results. You will have the opportunity to present designs and ideas to an Architecture Review Board and to Technology and Business senior management.

Primary responsibilities include
  • Work with Senior level engineers, architects and platform owner to set the platform's technical direction and strategic objectives.
  • Align efforts with central architecture function to influence technical standards and progress enterprise objectives.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure both delivery of desired business outcomes and alignment to enterprise standards.
  • Drive key architecture decisions to solve critical complex problems for assigned and adjacent platforms.
  • Work with the company platform Owner and Senior architects to guide technical platform architecture and engineering teams.
  • Focus on driving architecture towards long-term business unit/enterprise goals and objectives. Partner with business Leadership to influence priorities and objectives.
  • Capture best practice knowledge from engineering and field teams and share reference architectures and patterns with technical teams.
  • Network with peers on technical matters, design prototypes, system designs and enterprise-wide research projects.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related foreign discipline
    • 8+ years of web-development or solutions architecture experience
    • Hands-on experience with end-to-end software development of complex multi-tiered systems
    • Experience with multiple IT disciplines with a confirmed understanding of relevant architectural concepts
    • Experience using system and process analysis
    • Strong communication skills; ability to facilitate technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders
    • Experience working with data and DBMS, including legacy and emerging database technologies. Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL is a must for Principal and up.
    • Experience building highly available customer-facing applications, in a GDHA setting
    • Experience building cloud-native applications
    • Experience with API's
    • Experience designing highly available and resilient solutions, Automation, identify opportunity of performance improvements, Able to transform traditional monolith architecture stack to modern microservices based loosely decoupled architecture.
    • 10+ years of web-development or solutions architecture experience
    • Hands-on experience with end-to-end software development of complex multi-tiered systems
    • Experience with multiple IT disciplines with a confirmed understanding of relevant architectural concepts
    • Experience using system and process analysis
    • Experience implementing large-scale technological enhancements or pivots, including pilot implementations and analysis
    • Experience working with data and DBMS, including legacy and emerging database technologies
    • Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL.
    • Experience building highly available customer-facing applications, in a GDHA setting
    • Experience building cloud-native applications
    • Experience with API's
    • Experience designing highly available and resilient solutions, Automation, identify opportunity of performance improvements, Able to transform traditional monolith architecture stack to modern microservices based loosely decoupled architecture.
    • Experience in 2 or 3 of the following technology areas. Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Application Development, Database technologies, Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in the financial services industry; understanding of the role of consumer and custodial banks; experience handling sensitive financial data
    • Strong business analysis, solutions crafting, interaction management and presentation skills.
    • Experience in cybersecurity
    • Understanding of multiple programming languages, including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue), such as Python3, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Golang, C, C++, etc.
    • UI/UX experience, including relevant web/application branding technique

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $ 152,000 - $ 199,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
