Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building the next generation of cloud services that power mission-critical workloads for customers around the world. As OCI continues to expand globally, Cloud Hardware Support (CHS) plays a critical role in keeping data center infrastructure reliable, efficient, and ready to support customer growth.
The CHS organization is investing in modern software systems that help data center operations scale without increasing manual effort linearly with infrastructure growth. This includes unified operator experiences, task-centric repair workflows, guided procedures, inventory and logistics automation, analytics, workforce planning, and operational intelligence.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native services that support the full lifecycle of data center hardware operations. You will work on systems that help technicians and managers execute work more efficiently, reduce operational friction, improve visibility, and make repair operations more measurable and predictable.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building reliable distributed systems, working across product and operational domains, and turning complex workflows into simple, scalable software experiences. You will contribute independently to major features, collaborate across engineering and operations teams, and help raise the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the systems your team owns.
The IC3 leveling guidance describes senior engineers as operating independently, building major features in existing systems, improving team practices, and driving design, operational readiness, and risk mitigation for their features and subsystems. This role aligns to that scope while focusing on CHS software systems that support OCI data center growth, repair operations, and management.
CHS's roadmap emphasizes the need for a task-centric repair operator platform, repair analytics, guided workflows, SOP modernization, spares and inventory signals, and tooling that reduces manual decision-making for operators. The Single Pane of Glass vision similarly calls for a unified, mobile-first platform that consolidates task execution, inventory management, guided procedures, automation, and analytics into a seamless experience for data center technicians and managers.
