Bird Nason Contracting Group is currently looking for a Student Workforce Coordinator to join us for an 8 month co-op position starting in May 2026. This position will be based out of our Edmonton, Westlink office.
Our teamwork approach combines the efforts of our professional engineers, technical staff and skilled trades people to deliver challenging projects through safe operations and specialized services. Bird Nason Contracting Group rewards innovation and creativity and promotes a healthy balance between professional and personal life.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Enter employee documentation accurately (safety tickets, resumes, new hire packages).
  • Schedule and coordinate safety training sessions.
  • Follow up on outstanding onboarding requirements.
  • Support recruiters to ensure timely mobilization of new hires to project sites.
  • Maintain records in the ATS system.
  • Verify employee certifications.
  • Track training and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Update and maintain SharePoint directories.
  • Assist with updating and posting current job vacancies via ATS system.
  • Assist with compiling monthly metrics.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (business, human resources, administration, or related field preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working with software and proficient with Microsoft suite - Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail, particularly for documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Experience through volunteer work, student organizations, administrative roles, or event coordination is an asset.
  • Exposure to high volume environments or roles requiring multitasking.
  • Experience or interest in construction, trades, safety programs, workforce planning, or skilled trades is considered an asset, but prior industry experience is not required.
