Job Description

Location: Fort Wayne, IN Job Type: Full-time Multiple openings per shift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Job Description: This will be a full-time, direct placement position. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain movement and manage pain after injuries, surgeries, or illnesses. Your role will involve implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and documenting progress to support optimal outcomes. Responsibilities: Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic interventions. Observe patients during treatments and report any unusual reactions or changes in condition to the physical therapist. Educate patients on exercises, proper techniques, and lifestyle changes to promote wellness and prevent further injuries. Document patient progress and update treatment plans as directed by the supervising therapist. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment for patients. Collaborate with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Requirements: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active Indiana State license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
