POSITION SUMMARY
This role is central to our growth of delivery in the United States and will be responsible for establishing new projects in the areas of workforce development and education programming.
The role will involve working closely with partner organizations and stakeholders, developing detailed implementation plans and associated project management tools, conducting employer, young people and stakeholder engagement activities and reviews, and supporting other projects/initiatives across the country as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly manage and monitor ongoing delivery of programs and/or projects, supporting KTUSA delivery partners to meet agreed targets, and reporting progress to both internal and external stakeholders. This may include delivering briefings and training and producing toolkits and resources.
  • Ensure that our programs are safer by design, by embedding robust safeguarding principles into the design and delivery of the programs.
  • Lead on embedding The King's Trust Monitoring & Evaluation framework, ensuring that relevant and accurate information is received from all partners.
  • Manage and monitor program budgets, ensuring maximum drawdown on funding whilst delivering efficient use of resources. Responsible for accurate and up-to-date financial reporting for internal and external purposes.
  • Support the scoping and implementation of pilot projects, developing detailed project plans, completing due diligence procedures and establishing clear roles and responsibilities and project management structures with all partners.
  • Work with the wider KTUSA team to manage external communication and relationships with external partners, supporters, key stakeholders and all interested parties. Ensure accurate project information is communicated on KTUSA's website, any stakeholder, funder, and project partner websites or publications, and in press releases.
  • Keep current with developments and relevant issues for young people in the United States especially in relation to potential opportunities to develop or enhance KTUSA's programs.
  • Support the Head of Programs, where required, by representing the Programs team at events and meetings, and by advocating for the growth and development of the organization's portfolio of programs.
  • Lead the input of project-specific information to support new funding bids and opportunities, including the preparation of budgets.
  • Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by King's Trust when required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in workforce development or educational programming.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities for young people in underserved communities.
  • Experience managing and strengthening relationships with multiple stakeholders and partners across sectors including governments, corporations, and nonprofits.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Solid understanding of skills development, employability, entrepreneurship, and youth development programming.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, briefings, toolkits, and other partner-facing resources as a significant component of the role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and external partners within a complex cross-functional environment.
  • Experience directly managing program delivery, ensuring partners meet agreed targets, monitoring progress, and communicating outcomes to all stakeholders.
  • Experience embedding strong safeguarding principles into program design and delivery.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and data collection to ensure accurate impact reporting to supporters and continuous program improvement.
  • Budget management and financial reporting experience to ensure responsible stewardship of grant funding and organizational resources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including representing programs with funders, partners, and other external stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL
  • The role is to be in our New York office up to 4 days a week, with flexibility over the summer and holiday periods.
  • Ability to travel within the United States is essential.
  • This position reports directly to the Head of Programs and necessitates a commitment to adhering to company policies outlined in the employee manual and internal communications.
