JOB TITLE: Lead Child- Family Clinician and Program Development Associate
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time
DEPARTMENT: Mental Health Clinic
REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Lead Child- Family Clinician and Program Development Associate role combines direct clinical service delivery with program development assistance, staff support, quality improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance behavioral health services for children, youth, and families throughout Hudson Guild.
Working closely with the Director of Mental Health Services, the Lead Child & Family Clinician/ Program Development Associate supports the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of child and family mental health services while maintaining a select caseload to ensure continued clinical expertise and high-quality patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
- Current New York State licensure (LMSW, LCSW, PsyD).
- Experience with outpatient mental health services, preferably within an Article 31 clinic.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, staff training, and quality and evaluation.
- Strong organizational, communication, writing and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements for Article 31 mental health programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Services
- Maintain a select caseload of children, adolescents, families and adults receiving outpatient mental health services.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based individual, family, and collateral interventions.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Article 31 regulations, agency policies, and payer requirements.
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers to support positive clinical outcomes.
Program Development & Operations
- Assist the Director of Mental Health Services in developing, implementing, and enhancing child and family behavioral health programming.
- Assist in planning and implementing new clinical initiatives, workflows, and service delivery models.
- Support operational functions and special projects that strengthen overall program effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and assist in implementing best practices.
Staff Training & Clinical Support
- Assist the Director of Mental Health Services in facilitating/coordinating training for Mental Health Services staff on child and family clinical topics, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Support Dir. of Mental Health Services in delivering behavioral health education and consultation to MHS staff and staff across the broader agency regarding child and youth mental health.
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff working with children, adolescents, and families under supervision of the Dir. of Mental Health Services.
Supervision
- Provide task supervision and day-to-day operational/administrative support to designated Mental Health Services staff and interns.
- Support staff in workflow management, and adherence to program policies.
- Promote professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing feedback with oversight from the Dir. of Mental Health Services.
Cross-Program Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between the Mental Health Services Program and child and youth programming throughout the agency.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to improve coordination of care and ensure integrated services for children and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to agency-wide initiatives supporting youth and families.
Quality Improvement & Program Evaluation
- Assist Director with quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation activities.
- Work with Director to track outcomes and recommend strategies for continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in audits and data collection as needed.
- Engage in ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to evaluate program data, determine strengths and areas for improvement and execute action steps to make improvements.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office environment that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing & reaching. Occasional stooping, crouching, and kneeling.Travel between multiple sites consisting of school, office, and community center environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires frequent communication with participants, management, and staff. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, as well as the ability to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as phone and copy machine. Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
COMPENSATION: $70,000
