Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an experienced and driven Trauma Program Manager to lead and advance a highquality trauma program that makes a real difference in the lives of our patients and communities. Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center  (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service.

CMH also includes Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, two 25-bed critical access hospitals that provide essential care to Maine's rural communities.

As part of its commitment to healthcare education and workforce development, CMH is home to the Maine College of Health Professions, Maine's first nursing and medical imaging school. Responsibilities

The Trauma Manager is responsible for coordinating resources and activities necessary to ensure the Trauma Services meets regulatory requirements.  The Trauma Manager coordinates the collection of Trauma data and maintains statistical information for the Trauma Registry.  The Trauma Manager coordinates the tracking of Trauma patients throughout the Trauma system (pre-hospital to rehabilitation).  The Trauma Manager coordinates trauma educational programs for the institution as well as public education and prevention programs in the community.    Teaching and coordination of educational program experience preferred.    Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative relationship with other health care members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care.  Communication/writing skills, considerable emotional/physical/mental stamina and stability.

Qualifications

1.    Current and valid state RN License required.

2.    Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.

3.    Current ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current

4.    TNCC required upon hire and maintain current

5.    ENPC and CEN or CCRN preferred.

6.    A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.

7.    Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.

8.    Team approach to patient care.

9.    Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.

10. Day and evening flexibility required.

11. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
