Job description

Position Summary

Woodfords Family Services is seeking a strategic, creative, and collaborative Recruitment Specialist. This position is responsible for attracting and recruiting a diverse pool of candidates to support agency staffing needs, program growth, and strategic goals. The Recruitment Specialist partners with Marketing, Human Resources, and hiring managers, to support effective recruitment, lawful and equitable hiring practices, candidate engagement, and employee retention. Applications are now being accepted until September 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and maintenance of accurate job descriptions for all agency positions.
  • Participate in ongoing compensation analysis to ensure competitive offer packages.
  • Develop and post internal and external job advertisements that accurately reflect position requirements, qualifications, and benefits.
  • Source and screen candidates using consistent, job-related, and compliant hiring practices.
  • Create and manage recruitment advertising strategies across job boards, social media, digital media, community outreach, hiring events, and other platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, academic institutions, workforce programs, professional networks, and community partners.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system, support users, maintain documentation, and generate reports on applicant flow, source effectiveness, and recruitment trends.
  • Partner with Human Resources and hiring managers to support legally compliant hiring processes.
  • Support employee retention efforts, mentorship programs, supervisor training and career ladders.
  • Participate in committees, agency events, and other recruitment- and retention-related activities as needed.

Opportunity Details

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; comparable experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience in recruiting, marketing, human resources, talent acquisition, and/or social services required
  • Working knowledge of lawful hiring practices, employment law, confidentiality, and compliant hiring documentation required
  • Strong persuasive writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
  • Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, reporting tools, and the ability to learn new technologies
  • Experience or familiarity with digital marketing, social media advertising, job board optimization, email outreach, and recruitment analytics required
  • Ability to analyze recruitment, applicant flow, advertising, and labor market data required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong follow-through required
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel required
