About the Role

We're looking for an experienced people leader to join our team as a Finance Operations Supervisor - Fleet. In this role, you will lead a team of Capping Associates and Analysts responsible for vehicle capitalization, vendor payment processing, financial reconciliation, taxation, billing accuracy, and client support. You will ensure operational excellence through effective people leadership, workload management, quality oversight, compliance, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous process improvement. You will maintain service-level commitments and financial integrity across vehicle acquisition operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage a team of Capping Associates and Analysts by establishing performance expectations, conducting coaching sessions, performance reviews, career development, and workforce planning while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee daily operations, including workload balancing, queue management, Service Cloud case management, production metrics, SLA attainment, aging management, and escalation resolution to ensure timely and accurate completion of vehicle capitalization activities.

  • Provide operational oversight of complex billing, taxation, capitalization, payment, registration, and financial reconciliation issues requiring advanced judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and decision making.

  • Drive operational excellence by identifying trends, analyzing performance metrics, implementing process improvements, supporting automation initiatives, updating SOPs, participating in system testing, and ensuring standardization across the team.

  • Build strong partnerships with Acquisitions, Vehicle Processing, Supplier Services, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Tax, IT, Client Success, vendors, and external partners to resolve operational issues, improve end-to-end processes, and support strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure accurate capitalization of vehicle assets, vendor payments, taxation, billing integrity, and financial controls.

  • Achieve departmental service levels while balancing quality, productivity, compliance, and employee engagement.

  • Manage performance, hiring and onboarding, coaching and development, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance calibration, quality oversight, and succession planning.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues.

  • Internally, this role is referred to as Supervisor, Capping.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Fleet Operations, or Vehicle Acquisition.

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reconciliations, vendor payment processes, taxation, and financial controls.

  • Experience leading operational teams in a high-volume transactional environment.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience managing operational metrics and service levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fleet Management industry experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience with Service Cloud, ERP systems, workflow automation, or business process improvement.

  • Change management experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Compensation

The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,500 - $103,840 annually. This range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the expected base salary at the time of posting. Salary ranges may vary based on the geographic location where the work is performed. The salary range listed in this posting applies only to the location identified. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal pay equity, and relevant market data. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in annual incentive programs, including bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, as applicable to the role. Element also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement savings plans.
