What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will provide support in human capital strategy, strategic planning, and workforce assessment and development of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of War (DoW).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a SME, possessing in-depth knowledge to advance research and specialized analyses of cyber workforce policies, plans, and processes.
  • Support development, revision, and staffing of relevant DoW Directives, Instruction, and other policy issuances.
  • Support integration of cyber workforce policy, governance, recruitment, retention, and professional development programs into strategic plans and implementation initiatives.
  • Review, draft responses, and develop recommendations for legislative proposals on the Cyber Workforce, or other DoW equities.
  • Assist in planning and analysis, development, and promulgation of workforce strategies.
  • Support processes to monitoring and assess implementation according to priorities, goals, objectives, and milestones.
  • Provide expertise to inform leadership in making strategic and management decisions.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis.
  • Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to requirements.
  • Provide advice on esoteric problems.
  • Utilize functional area expertise, gained through direct industry experience, to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components.
  • Generate functional area strategies for enhanced operations in a cross-functional area throughout the organization.
  • Perform research and apply expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, and/or products and technologies.
  • Make recommendations and advise on research development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
  • Perform risk assessments and innovative use of new research concepts or improved techniques and procedures.
  • Develop and implement new research objectives, establishes project priorities, define methods of approach, and execute research studies.
  • Responsible for innovative use of scientific research concepts, principles, and practices and contribute to advanced methods and techniques.
  • Work with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements to include gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes.
  • Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items.
  • Summarize and present information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).
  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure sound knowledge of client requirements to support development of best-in-class solutions.

What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
    • Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" security clearance.
  • Master's Degree.
  • TEN (10) or more years of experience supporting workforce planning.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization.
  • Experience working with cyber workforce strategy and governance.
