Alza People Collective is representing a condfidential search for the next HR Manager.

We are hiring a Human Resources Manager for a San Francisco based Events and Rental Company. (Located just South of San Francisco)

Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager is a thought leader who aligns HR strategies with business objectives. The HR Manager partners with the management team and employees concerning all areas of human resources, including performance management, employee relations, recruitment and retention, Workers’ Compensation, FMLA and leave management, unemployment administration, orientation, and onboarding.


The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an amazing and innovative culture. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to our growing organization.


Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding.
  • Complete all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire benefit review, exit interviews, and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Conduct or acquire background checks, drug screenings and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Perform tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations.
  • Evaluate internal processes and documents needing changes or improvements and communicate potential solutions or revisions.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of all state, federal, local, and benefits laws as they pertain to the Human Resource function in order to ensure compliance in a timely manner.
  • Provide full cycle support for all workers’ compensation claims.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment health & wellness events.
  • Oversee and maintain data in the company’s HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources and recruitment
  • Experience working with HRIS and ATS systems (experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred)
  • Proficiency in Google suite and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Federal/State employment laws, Labor Relations, Investigation Skills
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, unemployment, and worker’s compensation
  • Data and process driven, great organizational skills, high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective planning & priority setting
  • Drug Test & Background Check
